St. Louis Creek Campground is located at 8,900' near the Fraser Experimental Forest, four miles southwest of the Town of Fraser, CO. Visitors to the area enjoy hiking, biking, and fishing, as well as easy access to the town of Fraser. This campground provides a rustic camping experience with access to standard amenities.
St. Louis Creek Campground provides 18 non-electric single-party units with tend pads, picnic tables, metal fire rings and bear-resistant food storage lockers. Vault toilets, trash service and drinking water are available to campground guests. A campground host is on site.
Need to Know
Please Note: One RV with tow vehicle per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.
Reserved Sites will be held until check out time (NOON) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests.
Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org
No RV water connections are available; come with your water tank filled.
Some sites may be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reservation holder must be present at check-in.
This campground has a 14 day stay limit and a maximum of 8 people per site.
Pets must be on a maximum length of 6ft leash.
This is Bear Country! For bear and human safety, keep a clean campsite and do not place food or other attractants in your tent. For more information about visiting bear country, contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife at http://wildlife.state.co.us It is also required that you use bear resistant food storage lockers where these facilities are provided.

Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).
All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis.
Extra Vehicle charge is applied for a vehicle outside of your camping unit. A camping unit is described as a camping vehicle towing a personal vehicle or a personal vehicle towing the camping unit. Tent campers are allowed the tent and 1 vehicle any vehicle above this will get an extra vehicle charge. Tent camping rule also applies to a camping unit a fixed to the back of a personal vehicle. EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.
Natural Features
Located near the Fraser Experimental Forest, a 23,500 acre outdoor research area with elevations ranging from 8,800'-12,000', St Louis Creek Campground provides access the rugged Vasquez and Byers Peak Wilderness Areas. Nearby trailheads include Byers Peak Trailhead and St. Louis Lake Trailhead.
Afternoon thunderstorms can be expected during spring and summer months.

Grocery shopping and restaurants are available in Fraser, Winter Park, and Granby.
The Arapaho National Recreation Area and western portal of Rocky Mountain National Park are within an hour's drive.
Recreation
Hiking, biking, fishing and wildlife viewing are all accessible near the campground.

From Fraser, travel 4 miles southwest on County Road 73 (St. Louis Creek Road). The campground is located on the south side of the road.
