OBITUARIES Stella L. (Winning-Baldwin) Mickel May 20, 1943 Dec. 29, 2019 WhITehaLL stella L. (Winning-Baldwin) Mickel, 76, passed away on sunday, Dec. 29, 2019 at Glens Falls hospital following a brief illness.

she was born on May 20, 1943 in Ticonderoga, New York, the daughter of the late Kenneth Winning and Mildred (Chad- wick) Winning. stella was a graduate of Fort ann high school, Class of 1961. she and William Baldwin were united in marriage on July 16, 1966. They owned and operated Bills TV and Bills Video on Broadway in Whitehall for several years. Bill passed away on July 20, 1999.

stella later remarried robert Mickel on sept. 5, 2002. Bob passed away on Feb. 22, 2019. stella was co-owner and partner in sParTa Chemical Com- pany with anthony Fragnoli.

she also worked at Variety store. stella especially enjoyed the many years that she spent with her grandchildren. she enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, playing board games with her family, an occa- sional game of Bingo, putting puzzles together and the many hours spent on her computer games. Besides her parents and her two husbands, she is prede- ceased by her two brothers, Lewis and robert Winning. survivors include her two sons, Michael (andrea) Baldwin of south Glens Falls, Marc (Deanna) Baldwin of Whitehall; her stepdaughter, audrey Brown of Plattsburgh, New York; her grandchildren, Justin (Brigitte) Baldwin of Tallahassee, Flor- ida, samantha and Lauren Baldwin of Whitehall, Kolby and Kamryn Baldwin of Whitehall, emily and Christine arquette of south Glens Falls; and two great-grandchildren, Jonah and Layla Baldwin.

she is also survived by her two sisters-in-law, ethel Winning of Whitehall and Carol Winning of Gloversville. stella also had a special place in her heart for sheri Wescott (who she felt was the daughter she never had). Family and friends are invited to celebrate life from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020 at the Whitehall ath- letic Club, 62 Poultney Whitehall.

she will be laid to rest in Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall at the convenience of the family. Terrence a. Little passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Dec. 26, 2019 at the home he shared with his Michelle C. Fol- ger following a courageous battle with cancer. During his three year battle, his broth- ers, Chuck and Bill were there for numerous appointments and treatments.

More recent- ly they provided daily care and support with Michelle. Terry was born in rutland, Vermont on Nov. 25, 1957, the son of the late William and ei- leen (King) Little. a graduate of Granville high school, Class of 1975, he was athletically talented and participated in football, and track and field, holding the pole vault record for many years. Terry enlisted in the air Force after graduation and spent four years of service in apple Valley, California.

While serving, he spent weekends with his sister, Joanne and rac- ing dirt bikes in the desert. Known as the he enjoyed time on Lake st. Cath- erine aboard his boat with family and friends. he also fancied himself as somewhat of an expert in all things comput- er and technological. he always had the latest gadgets and enjoyed learning how to use them and sharing that with those around him.

he was well known for his inno- vation and design of his famous potato launcher. after the first successful launch, many launchers were created, each better than the last. Terry worked for a local cable company early in his ca- reer followed by several years working in Manchester, Ver- mont with Mountain Plumbing and hi-Tech, prior to starting his own business, home Maintenance. he loved his work. When he could help a homeowner in need, making the situation better, it gave him a great sense of accomplishment.

his philosophy was, man made it, man could fix but he also would say fix one of favorite projects was a rehab of the reluctant Panther in Manchester, Vermont. he also established his own DJ business, soundwave Productions in addition to his other work for many years. his daughters reminisced about the annual Christmas party at the MWa and attending weddings of people they even know, as he worked his DJ magic over the years. daughters and grandchildren were an immense source of pride for him. his daughter Taryn quickly became a standout in Field hockey.

From her first game in Granville to her last at William smith College, he did not miss a single game. he loved watching his daughter, Kerri train and com- pete in Ironmans. Unable to attend when she competed in the 70.3 Worlds Ironman in France, he followed her every moment from home with family. his pride and enthusiasm for family grew, with the addition of grandchildren. he was in the au- dience for plays, parades and concerts.

always there to sup- port with great pride. after meeting Michelle, they spent 10 years enjoying many adventures. every time they left the house on one of famed it involved adventure. he enjoyed his trips to ormond Beach, Florida and the Daytona Pepsi 400, a trek he has made for 18 years. he loved returning to Kennebunk- port, Maine where his family owned a summer home.

It held many fond memories for him and he loved taking Michelle there to share his memories with her. Terry became extreme- ly close to sue Crouse, mom. another brought into the fold of love of family; his sense of humor, concern and care brought her and Michelle great comfort in her final months. Christmas 2018 he proposed to Michelle. other fond memories are family skiing and snowboarding trips to Bromley and Killington, and family vacations at the lake that resembled something like a Griswold family vacation.

Terry was predeceased by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his Michelle Folger of Granville; his daugh- ters, Kerri Thomas (Tim) of Granville, Taryn Wolochuk (alex) of Norwalk, Connecticut. he was blessed with two grandchil- dren, Devin Buxton (Miranda) and Brianna Thomas; and two grand fur babies, Bella and Brooke. also surviving are his sib- lings, William Little of West Pawlet, Charles Little (Vicki) of hudson Falls, David Little (Lorraine) of Middle Granville and Joanne Bodie of san Diego; and his many nieces and neph- ews. he will be greatly missed by friends that became family.

rhodes, age 85, a resident of Northville died sunday, Dec. 29, 2019 at Little Falls hospital in Little Falls, New York. he was born in Northville, on oct. 26, 1934, the son of the late arnold and esther Canfield rhodes. Jack was a graduate of Northville Central school, Class of 1953.

he was a U.s. army veteran serving from 1956 to 1961. he was employed from many years in the roofing and sheet Metal Union as Forman for Kaiser and Boswell in amsterdam. he was a manager for the st. agnello Baseball Team in amsterdam for twenty five years.

he was also a referee for the City Youth organization Basketball League. he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, the New York Yankees, horse racing and keeping the dandelions out of his lawn. he loved scratch off Lottery tickets with his daily vis- its to survivors include his children, steven (Marie) rhodes of amsterdam, Kevin (Lorraine) rhodes of halfmoon, robert rhodes of amsterdam and Kristin Jones of scotia; his sisters, Mary ann rhodes (Johnson) from Day and Joan rhodes (siver) from Johnstown; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. he was predeceased by his brothers, earl rhodes from Georgia and James rhodes from Gloversville; his sisters, shir- ley rhodes (sands) from Maryland, and Carol rhodes (War- ner) from Northville. Leslie R. Edwards July 18, 1932 Dec. 29, 2019 LaKe GeorGe Leslie r. edwards, 87, of schuyler street, passed away peaceful- ly, sunday, Dec. 29, 2019 at his home following a brief illness.

Born July 18, 1932 in Glov- ersville, he was the son of the late Clayton and elsie edwards. Les was raised in Batchelor- ville, New York on the sacanda- ga reservoir. he was an only child who was adored by his parents. Les attended hartwick College at the age of 17, where he met the love of his life, Peg Wardner, as her brother- in-laws were in his fraternity. They were truly a and lived an amazing life together.

after getting married and graduat- ing from hartwick College, Les soon applied and went into the officer Candidate school in Newport, rhode Island. after his graduation they packed their car and two week old sheryl and moved to Jacksonville, Flor- ida where he attended flight training. This was the beginning of their life adventures. Les became an antisubmarine heli- copter pilot flying off aircraft carriers. They lived all over the country including Pensacola, Key West birthplace), Fort Worth, Texas birthplace), Monterey, California, Virginia Beach, North Kingstown, rhode Island and Newport, rhode Island.

along the way he continued to love flying and became the executive officer of a helicopter squadron fol- lowed by becoming the commanding officer of a helicopter squadron. It was an illustrious career. he retired as a Navy Captain and with Peg and decided to move back to her home town of Lake George and settle in the house she grew up in. This house and Lake George truly became their home in ev- ery way, the community was their community. They renovat- ed the house and traveled the United states and the world.

Les lived a full life filled with so many friends and people who loved and adored him. he is survived by his wife, Margaret; their children, sheryl edwards of Dryden, scott edwards and his wife, Lisa, of or- ange, Vermont, and Leigh Furnkranz and her husband, Dan, of Moravia; his grandchildren, Nick edwards and his anna Mueller, of Boston, and Brad edwards and his wife, ash- ley, and their children, Charlotte and Mackenzie; as well as several nieces and nephews. 29, 2019, at the Wesley health Care Nursing home in sarato- ga springs, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 28, 1930, in Fort edward, she was the daughter of the late herbert and Mary (Kelly) Bruso. on oct. 17, 1948, helen mar- ried hebert Vadnais at st. Jo- seph Church in Fort edward.

They spent 61 years togeth- er until his passing in July of 2010. helen worked for C.r. Bard for many years as a catheter assembler. she was also a aide at Glens Falls hospi- tal. Most of all, helen will be remembered as being a wonder- ful mother, grandmother and caregiver to all that knew her.

she was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially at Trout Lake where they enjoyed swim- ming, camping and fishing at Paradise for the last 45 years. she grew lovely vegetable gardens and canned them in order to share with her family and friends. helen was an excellent cook and fed everyone who came over to visit. hel- en never said no to a pet, and over the years gave a home to dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, fish, ducks, quails, a raccoon, and even a horse that may have made its way to Broadway in Fort edward. she particularly loved providing a Christmas to ev- eryone in her family and she always made sure to make ev- eryone feel special and loved.

In addition to her parents and her husband, helen was pre- deceased by her siblings, edith Bruso LaVigne, Lorraine Bru- so Fox, Dorothy Bruso Jordan, and John Bruso, an infant sis- ter, sylvia Bruso, as well as her son-in-law, anthony Benware. Left to cherish her memory include her children, Diana Ger- oux (Ken) of Greenwich, ron Vadnais (rose) of Whitehall, De- nise Pliscofsky (alex) of Fort ann, Mary Benware (Dick Dash- naw) of Lyon Mountain, Gary Vadnais of Gansevoort, Cindy smith of hudson Falls, and Karen Mcnu*tt (Frank Blake) of Fort edward; her 20 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchil- dren, three great-great-grandchildren; as well as many niec- es, nephews, and cousins.
